This is my favorite movie of all time. Watch it at least once a month. Clip of the famous Ferrari 250 GT after the jump. That is all.

The car they used in the movie was an mgb with a ford 289. Very impressive replica.

It's not even real but it was an excellent movie and the driving backwards idea proposed was hilarious.
Here is a photo I took;

I know its not real, but the whole plot with the car is hilarious! I'm at the part where Cam realizes how many miles were put on the car and he loses it haha
Where did you take that pic? I would love to see one of those in person!

Extremely impressive replica. First time seeing this movie as a kid, I was distraught thinking that they killed an actual Ferrari haha
Once I found out it was a replica, it eased the pain, but it's still hard to watch haha

I haven't watched it for years, thanks for reminding me about it. I'm happy to hear that the Ferrari was a replica.

I'll give you the full version. On the lawns outside pebble beach, basically an unloading area for the auctions. My dads orig owner c2 sat in the garage in nice shape but needing the motor rebuilt for the last 29 years. We got it restored down south, the car gone thru, brakes, suspension, engine carb. motor. So the truck driver who brought it up was bringing a car to pebble beach because it happened to be at the exact same time. After taking our job he refused to bring the car to where we live in the East bay area. I had to drive to Monterey unexpectedly (unexpected because It was so early in the week I had to bring the car home before driving down for the day that weekend to watch the historic races) on the most crowded weekend ever, and bring the car that none of us have driven in decades (I drove it back and had never driven it ever, just looked at it and hoped my entire life) on a nice blistering august day, and a crap freeway. Anyways it was in the photo of the California where the truck driver that brought us had parked to unload another car and didn't want to loose his spot during pebble.
Here is the car, my dad had it repainted in late 1969 (sticking with original color, he waxed the car tooooo much) at a corvette speciality place that still exists today in the midwest for the money he earned over a summer, about 350$. He and my grandfather purchased it new and shared it.
I'm very thankful he kept it.
He is an album of random vintage Ferrari's I have taken over the years, most of them mediocre but some special cars;

This made my day! FBDO is my fav movie too (I own three copies of it: VHS, DVD & Special Edition DVD). John Hughes did amazing work.
